Following a long career in the medical field, Gail attended the Philadelphia College of Art and the Sanski Art Center in Haddonfield, New Jersey, pursuing her love of art. She was able to combine her interests with her illustration of the "Gray's Anatomy Coloring Book", followed by a second career in graphic design. Gail has since discovered her passion for watercolor. She has participated in an array of watercolor workshops, studying with contemporary masters including Norman Kirk and internationally acclaimed artist Paul Jackson. Gail's work has received numerous awards, including first place in both the 2008 California Gold Coast Watercolor Society show and the prestigious Santa Paula Society of the Arts show -- the longest running juried show in California. In both 2009 and 2010, Gail was again awarded first place in watercolor in the Santa Paula show, along with both first and second place in the People's Choice Award and the Douglas Shively Award of Excellence by Jury of Peers.
